On September 18, 2023, all school board candidates on the November ballot were invited to the PENNCREST School Board Candidate Forum hosted by The Community Coalition for a Better PENNCREST.
The turnout we witnessed was a testament to the incredible support we received from parents and the community as a whole. The dedication and efforts of making this event a success have not gone unnoticed, and we greatly value your contributions.
It’s through collaborative efforts like these that we can make a positive difference in our community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. John Anderson and the student team for moderating an outstanding forum. Our candidates, Allison Beers, Tim Brown, Tiffany Donor, David McWright, Scott Stallings and Randy Styborski, excelled as they showcased their talents and experience, highlighting their potential to lead PENNCREST during these challenging times. We would also like to thank Neil Bullock and Brian Custard for attending.

The moderator, John Anderson, starts the forum with a preliminary statement and reviews the rules of the forum. The candidates are then given 90 seconds for their opening remarks.
The candidates share their thoughts and ideas on how they'll support the district in addressing the mental health needs of its students.
The candidates answer the question "How do you intend to foster a more collaborative and cohesive board?"
The candidates answer the questions "How much money do we currently spend on the PENNCREST Cyber Academy and could the board better encourage parents and school administrators to send those students to the actual schools and, if so, wouldn't that help increase our attendance figures in each building?"
The candidates answer the questions "What do you feel are the most important qualifications for a superintendent candidate and what do you think the appropriate timeline would be for that hiring process?"
The candidates answer the questions "What do you feel is the most urgent problem facing PENNCREST and how do you plan to address it?"
The candidates answer the question "What is your position on consolidation?"
The candidates answer the question "How do you balance fiscal responsibility with the need to improve and maintain six facilities?"
The candidates close out the forum with their 90-second closing remarks.
